In March 2000,
GuitarGirls.com was
founded
by Dean Markley and
Goodsell Amps endorsed
singer/songwriter/guitarist,
Lynn Carey Saylor,
in an effort to showcase
and promote her talented
female artist peers she
has discovered on the
Internet alongside her
own music.
GuitarGirls has had a
popular presence on the
Internet on many
different high profile
music websites in the
past and the present
including Mp3.com,
Myspace, Soundclick and
ReverbNation.
Through her associated
independent label,
Guitar Girls Records (a
division of SSRC, Inc.)
and Guitar Girls Dotcom
Publishing Company (BMI),
Lynn has released a full length solo CD
entitled "You Like It Clean"
(which features
guest performances by such superstars as world renowned
guitarist Brian May of QUEEN) and an EP on teen
Country/Pop artist Charissa Mrowka. The EP contains the
songs "Miss Misery", "102 Songs About You", "Hold On And
Breathe" and "This Song Is Free", which were all written by
Lynn Carey Saylor. "102 Songs About You" has already
received some notoriety when it was selected as one of 14
finalist songs in the Country category of the prestigious
International Songwriting Contest (ISC) in 2008. 15,500
songs were entered into the contest. The song "Hold On And
Breathe" has also been singled out in a prestigious
songwriting contest, having gotten an honorable mention nod
and acknowledgment at
this page of the
Song of the Year contest. Both of these CD's are
currently available for
purchase, as well as
offered as a special
"combo deal" that
includes all the music
on both CD's, by going
to the
Guitar Girls Records
link.
All of the songs on "You
Like It Clean" and "Miss
Misery" and "Hold On And
Breathe" from Charissa's
EP are also available on
iTunes and other digital
outlets.
Lynn is currently
looking for original
Christmas songs with
female lead vocals for a
project to be released
this holiday season.
If you have a
well-produced
Christmas/Holiday themed
song you'd like
considered for this
project and own the
master rights to the
recording, you are
welcome to send your
song to
GuitarGirlsRecords@gmail.com.
Please put "Christmas
project submission" in
the subject line. You
will earn royalties from
sales of your song and
do not have to give up
any of the publishing
rights to be involved in
this non-exclusive
opportunity.
Thank you very much for your interest in
GuitarGirls.com and please join our email list via the
